Allison's Session

Allison is studying to be a nurse and currently attends Seattle Pacific University.  She is involved with Magenta Theater Company in Vancouver (when she is in town), where she became friends with Amy.  We photographed her before a few years back and thought this was the perfect time for another session. Washington State University (Vancouver campus) was our location for the session.  It has a variety of excellent backgrounds, angles, and textures for any type of photography. 

Photographing Allison in the evening provided us with some nice lighting.  Plus, she is a natural in front of the camera, which really made my work as a photographer easy.  We used a reflector as fill during most of the session.  As the light faded, we bounced a flash off the reflector for a little more power.   The photos below (except on the bench) were taken with the Nikon D700 and the Nikon 85 1.4D.  The 85 creates beautiful bokeh and is a superb lens for portrait work.   Here are a few shots that I really liked from our session.  Cheers!
