On Saturday, July 16th, I attended the annual Cruisin' the Gut held in downtown Vancouver. Hundreds of old cars around the area drive in and cruise up and down Main Street. Pretty cool! I had almost forgotten about the event but remembered a few hours before the cars were scheduled to arrive. My father-in-law also joined me at the event. We arrived at 3:30, and the streets were already packed with old cars and tons of people.
Now, I am definitely not an "under the hood" car guy. I can change oil, headlights, vacuum ........ ummm...... that about covers it! What I lack mechanic abilities, I make up for in car appreciation. The owners put in tons of time to restore these old beauties to peak condition and the results were stunning. The colors, lines, angles, and shine made for some great photo opportunities. Oh, and yes, it was LOUD! Below are some of my favorite shots from the event. Enjoy.
